Hi, I was hoping you could help me I have a rising 2 year old filly EMH TBxstationbred 16.2hh. What do you suggest I feed her to keep her in good condition? including any additional thing like garlic, magnesium etc. Kind regardes Sophie

Thank you for your query,

The product that I would recommend to keep you young horse in good condition is NRM LowGIsport. NRM LowGIsport is unique to most ‘cool feeds’ as it has a higher calorie level therefore perfect for your horse to maintain a good condition. NRM LowGIsport contains no cereal grain with the majority of calories being derived from ‘cool’ energy in the form of fat and fibre. The sources of the ‘cool’ energy include the super fibre beet pulp and the high fat stabilized rice bran supplement KER Equi-Jewel. NRM LowGIsport also contains a KER premix which means at the recommended intakes your horse will receive its daily requirements of vitamins and minerals except salt.

It is always important to monitor a horses condition closely and if any changes occur the ration should be modified accordingly. Adding items like garlic into the ration are fine as long as it is not done to excess and doesn’t contain any vitamin or minerals that could contribute to over supplementation.

I hope you find this information useful.
