We are still very dry and feel our herd need supplementing. We do not have feeding troughs, and wonder how effective feeding your product out with a sidefeeder wagon straight on to the paddock would be.

If its dairy feed you are talking about then feeding direct onto the paddock is not ideal because of the wastage. Ideally you should get feeding troughs or an in-shed feeding system. However, if you need to feed and have no other system then feeding a dairy nut or pellet directly onto the paddock would be acceptable. Increase the feed gradually to prevent gorging.
