Please can you tell me what Coccidiostat is included in Chick starter now, I heard it had changed from Aviax and is there a coccidiostat in meat bird crumbles? Many thanks, Sue PS, I'm an advisor rather than a farmer!

Hi Sue,

 

The coccidiostat used in Chick Starter is Coxistac (active ingredient is salinomycin). Coxistac is included at 500g/ton which equates to 60mg/kg salinomycin.

 

There is no coccidiostat in Meatbird crumble.
