Hi there, I have 6 chickens – 3 are 6 weeks old and the other 3 are about 22 weeks old. We have recently put them all together in the same coop – but is it okay for them to share feeds? We have the older chickens on Peck n Lay and the chicks are on Starter feed. The chicks tend to stick with their own food but the older chickens are also eating this. Is this okay? Any help would be greatly appreciated! Cheers, p.s. the oldest chicken has just laid her first egg today.

Hi Claire,

If you are feeding “NRM Chick Starter +Coxistac” to your young chicks then the older birds that are laying eggs should not have access to this feed as these eggs may not be used for human consumption for 7 days while eating this feed.

It is OK for the young chicks to eat Peck n Lay.

Alun
