Latest News from Team Grayling - 2 December 2011

We are fast approaching Christmas which means a wee break for our horses and humans.

Team Grayling has been busy show jumping with two horse trials thrown in to the mix.

Arran Station saw NRM Lowenberg having his first start since his trip to Australia so he went open novice which he won. NRM Teko won the training. Charlotte and NRM Ru Star were third in the young Rider class and Victoria and Let Loose were second in the Pre Novice.

Woodhill Sands was the next start. NRM Lowenberg won the Advanced start and NRM Teko won the training class. Both lead from the dressage phase.

Foxton Show jumping saw NRM Lowenberg doing some 1.20 classes with a 5th in the 1.15 class. Charlotte and NRM Ru Star were 6th in the 1.15 championship and 5th in the Junior rider class.  Victoria on Let Loose were 1st in the 1.10 and 4th in the 1.05 championship. Phillippa on Tuis Keepsake was 2nd in the 95 cm championship, 1st in the 80 cm and 3rd in the 90 cm class.

Waverley show saw NRM Lowenberg Reserve Champion Saddle Hunter and Working Hunter. Phillippa and Tuis Keepsake was Champion working Hunter pony.

Hawera show saw NRM Lowenberg 2nd in the 1.30 class and Reserve champion saddle Hunter. NRM Lowenberg had two dressage wins, one at level 6. NRM Teko had a 3rd and 2nd in level 1.

It was back to Foxton last weekend for more show jumping. NRM Lowenberg jumped well in the 1.30 class with just one rail in both classes. NRM Teko was 2nd in the 1 m class.

Victoria and Let Loose had a 2nd and 3rd in the 1.10 classes. Charlotte and NRM Ru Star had a rail in the 1.20 class and a rail in the junior rider but jumped well. Phillippa and Tuis Keepsake had a good show winning in show hunter and showjumping. Lucky we take Phillippa as she seems to be paying her way.

The next start will be at the Taupo Christmas Classic where we hope we will pick up a few more prizes. That's the update for now and we will keep you posted.
