hi, i have a riseing 4 year old gisborne breed gelding who normaly keeps his weight very well but this year he is loosing weight fast. grazing and hay around hear is not easy to find. He is currently grazing on a large farm at the moment. I wounld like to bring him in to work for the comming show seasion and would like some feed advice

If you are wanting to bring him into work I would recommend NRM Low GI Sport, this is a low glycemic pellet with a full vitamin and mineral premix (therefore if feeding the recommended intakes you do not need to add further vitamins or minerals other than salt, add salt depending on daily sweat loss).  This product is unique as it is a ‘cool’ feed that is also high in calories compared to conventional ‘cool feeds’ so will also help your horse put on weight while undertaking the increased workload.

If you are wanting to feed him something while he is not in work NRM Horse and Pony pellets will provide additional calories for weight gain, these also have added vitamins and minerals, so again not need to add further if feeding at the recommended intakes.
